Madhya Pradesh cabinet approved Wednesday for a proposal to give 10 percent reservation for government jobs and education to the poor. PC Sharma, Public Relations and Law and Legislative Affairs Minister of Madhya Pradesh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Kamal Nath, the Cabinet meeting was held today. In this, a proposal to give 10 percent reservation for government jobs and education to the poor in the general category was passed.
Sharma said that the benefits of reservation will be available to those people whose income from all sources is not more than eight lakh rupees annually, they should not have more than five acres of agricultural land (including inert, barren, rugged and rocky land) In the municipal area, there should not be more than 1200 sq. Ft. House / flat size, 1500 sq ft house / flats in municipal area and 1800 sq ft house in Nagar Panchayat area / Do not have more than a flat size house.
No limit has been set for residents of rural areas. It is notable that in the Parliament, the provision of reservation of 10 percent reservation for jobs and education for poor people through the 124th Amendment Bill passed recently, which has been implemented by many states has been implemented.
