Celebrities are often in the limelight for the kind of films they do and sometimes also for how much they earn from the film. A lot of times they are in the news for charging humongous amount for acting in a film and sometimes even for a song which hardly takes 4-5 minutes in the entire film. But, there are a lot of celebrities who have also acted and have been a part of a song for free. There may be several reasons for doing this, while some did it out of their interest, others did it for free as a favour to their friend, and some just did it without any specific reason.
Kareena was seen shaking her legs on Marjaani in Billu and on the famous song Fevicol Se in Dabangg 2. Both of these popular songs were done with utmost dedication by her, and she did not charge a single penny for both the songs.
Katrina Kaif performed on Chikni Chameli in Agneepath for free. Katrina did this as a gesture to her very close friend Karan Johar, and in return, she received a Ferrari from him.
Sonam believed in the strong script of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and she charged only Rs 11 for her cameo in the film. She did this as a token of respect.
Our very own versatile actor, Shahid Kapoor, became extremely happy at the time Haider was offered to him. Shahid dedicated himself to the film with utmost sincerity and he didn’t charge a single penny for his role. It definitely proved to be a turning point in the actor’s career too.
Rani has given many cameos in films. In Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, she played the role of Naina, SRK’s childhood friend, and did not charge any fee for it.

We all remember Shah Rukh Khan playing the role of Banku’s father in the movie Bhoothnath and Bhoothnath Returns. But not many of us are aware of the fact that King Khan did not charge a single penny for his role in the prequel of the movie.
Sonakshi Sinha is a very good friend of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. She has done a lot of films with him, and hence it wasn’t really surprising to see her doing a song for him for free. She did a song in the film Boss featuring Akshay and did not charge anything for it as a friendly gesture.
Priyanka Chopra did an item number in the film Billu as a token of friendship and love towards Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan. She featured in the song You Get Me Rocking And Reeling.
Deepika’s debut film might have opened the doors of Bollywood for her, but you will be surprised to know she did the role for free. The actress deeply content with the fact that she was sharing screen space in her debut film with none other than Shah Rukh Khan, and that is what mattered to her.
Salman Khan is Bollywood’s bhaijaan and is known to have a heart of gold. The actor never refuses cameo role requested by his friends. He has worked in films like Son Of Sardaar, Tees Maar Khaan, and Fugly; all for free.
