The Indian team slipped three places and dropped to number five in the International T20 rankings while Pakistan remained on top.
The ICC released the T20 team rankings on Friday. Pakistan has 286 points, while South Africa’s 262, England’s 261, Australia’s 261 and India’s 206 points.
South Africa is second and India is in fifth position. Now 80 teams are included in the ranking. The results of 2015-16 series have been omitted and the results of 2016-17 and 2017-18 have been given 50 percent marks.
Afghanistan and Sri Lanka are at number seven and eighth, respectively, while the West Indies slipped to the ninth position.
Nepal has moved from 14th to 11th and Namibia is at 20th place. Teams such as Austria, Botswana, Luxembourg and Mozambique have got place in this table for the first time, from May 2016, all the member countries have played six matches against the other ICC member country.
In the women’s rankings, it is mandatory for teams to play six matches against the other teams in the last three to four years.
